About Mission Beach
Mission Beach sits on a thin strip of sand between the Pacific and Mission Bay, home to about 9,000 year-round residents. The boardwalk runs along the ocean, and Belmont Park's historic roller coaster anchors the fun. Some east-west streets are barely two blocks long. Beach cottages, condos, and apartments are packed tight. Summer vacation rentals swell the population, and parking goes from scarce to nearly impossible.
